Should I stay at home or go back to work?
This is the million dollar question that most parents are hit with. It’s a decision that impacts your family, your personal goals, and your financial stability.
This is NOT something that can be decided in a day and DEFINETLY not a decision I will ever be able to say — I was right or I was wrong.
There’s no clear right or wrong answer — no one size fits all. The pressure to find the correct balance makes it harder to decide.
Choosing to stay home will give you the opportunity to present all the important milestones in your child’s life. It allows you to focus entirely on parenting.
However, there are instances where we crave human interactions — this being one of the main reasons I chose to go back to work.
The guilt of making this decision is SUPER stressful. It’s easy to feel judged and for people to judge you, no matter the decision you make.
How to Approach This Decision
There isn’t a universal answer that fits everyone, but taking time to think about what works best for you and your family can make this process feel more manageable.
What are your priorities?
